Broad mood exploration inspired by brainstorms of a world my friend and I are building.
The project started as composition and lighting practice, but I ended pushing it further and learned a lot about geometry nodes, mostly instance control and generation.
The building was modeled using a sequence of modifiers and geo nodes, applied on a curve.
I set out to save time by avoiding my usual plan of modeling/texturing everything by hand and so:
-The characters are put together using free/very cheap assets found online, Rigify'd, and sculpted in-pose for more details.
-Similarly, the background is mostly populated with free assets from PolyHaven, as well as a good percentage of the textures.
The song used in the assembly video is Moodymanc- Black Paint (Larry Heard's After Dark Mix).
